Introduction
Dangerous Goods Recurrent Training is recommended by ICAO and IATA Regulations. According DGR 1.5.3 Instructor Qualifications and Competencies instructors of initial and recurrent dangerous goods training programs must demonstrate or be assessed as competent in instruction and the function that they will instruct. They must deliver such a course at least every 24 months, or in the absence of this attend recurrent training.
The role of an assessor is to fully understand the competencies of various tasks under the function, observe the performance of the trainees after they had successfully completed the training and assessment process, evaluate the effectiveness of the program, and provide feedback to the employers for continuous improvement.
This training is designed to assist certified instructors and assessors to understand the concept of CBTA and to be familiar with changes introduced with the 64th Edition of IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.
