Introduction
This sixteen-hour course in Aviation Psychology will enable participants to become better acquainted with the various psychological aspects involved in aviation.
Course Objective
Upon completion of the course participants will acquire:
- An overall understanding and appreciation of aviation psychology.
- Knowledge on the role of psychological assessment and psychometric testing in pilot selection and legislative requirements.
- Comprehension of the structure of employee support and assistance programmes and legislative requirements.
- Knowledge and understanding of issues pertaining to the abuse of psychoactive substances as well as legal implications.
- An understanding of emotional intelligence the important role it plays in decision- making, regulating behaviour and managing other people’s behaviour.

Air Operator Certificate holders (AOC): Nominated Persons, Flight and Cabin Crew, Safety Managers, Human Resources / Recruitment Managers. Competent Authorities: Inspecting Officers.
