Introduction
Aircraft Structure maintenance requires a good understanding of the design philosophy, methods adopted as well as knowledge on the use of the available documentation as published by the Manufacturer. This course is intended for both experienced aircraft maintenance professionals and newcomers alike whether working in Line, Base Maintenance or in Technical Support and provides the necessary confidence and knowledge to evaluate, select or obtain a repair to any damage that might be encountered on an Airbus Aircraft in Service. The last generations of Aircraft Types are built and constructed using advanced engineered composite materials for enhanced performance. Composite Structure maintenance and repair brings a different set of challenges when compared to the traditional metal alloys typically used in aircraft construction. This training programme covers extensively the methods to be used when repairing and maintaining Airbus aircraft composite structure. It is for the same reason that this course also provides a good coverage on NDT methods which are essential to Aircraft Structure maintenance and repair.
